We should also welcome the search for information carried out in anthropology, political science, history and sociology in these silenced spaces. But, for so much, the supposition and construction of a consciousness, or of a subject, underlie such work and will, in the long run, converge with the imperialist constitution of the subject, mixing epistemic violence with the advancement of knowledge and civilization. And the subalterne woman will always be as mute as ever.
