To the point that it cannot return, and that the antisemitic delirium will be made possible by this definitive repression, aggregating the individual to the shaming group and thus embarking him for life in the arbitrary of shameless stupidity. This would explain the constancy of the antisemite, his inability to deny himself. [..] The antisemite thus seems to be provided with a miraculous antidote to the historical shame that embraces us.

On pourrait alors imaginer que l’antisémite aura véritablement terrassé la honte de soi. Au point qu’elle ne pourra faire retour, et que le délire antisémite sera rendu possible par ce refoulement définitif, agrégeant l’individu au groupe honnisseur et l’embarquant ainsi pour la vie dans l’arbitraire d’une bêtise éhontée. Ce qui expliquerait la constance de l’antisémite, son incapacité à se renier. [..] L’antisémite semble ainsi pourvu d’un antidote miraculeux contre la honte historique qui nous étreint.
